Painted Prairie Ranch
Tucked away just an hour outside of Dallas, Texas, is the Painted Prairie Ranch. This ranch is a custom creation with a unique home floor plan. Painted Prairie Ranch offers privacy and seclusion, while simultaneously offering convenience to the metroplex of DFW. Whether you're looking to move away from the ever-growing city, or interested in a weekend escape, the Painted Prairie Ranch is a must-see property.
Located in Hunt County, just outside of Celeste, TX, Painted Prairie Ranch is just under 50 miles from Dallas. The town of Greenville is less than a 15-minute drive away. Two lakes, Lavon Lake and Lake Ray Hubbard, are just a 30-minute drive from the property.
The most unique part of Painted Prairie Ranch is the carefully thought-out, custom-built home. The residence has a compound design, with three separate structures. The forefront of the home is the main living area. Here you will find a large open concept design built for entertainment. It includes an updated kitchen, guest bathroom, and spacious mudroom. The great room was designed for friends and family to gather around. With a large island, ample cabinet space, a walk-in pantry, a "pass-through" window that opens to the patio, and plenty of seating area, this room is perfect for entertaining guests. Steps away from the living area is the master apartment suite. The private space has an ensuite master bath, walk-in closet, spacious laundry room, a living space with kitchenette and French-doors that look out over the property. It is the perfect setting to take in the beautiful land while sipping on a morning cup of coffee. The additional living spaces include the third structure, which is two stories. On the first floor there is a living area, kitchen, two sets of built-in bunk beds, and a bedroom and large bath with a laundry closet. The second level is currently being utilized as a private art-studio but could easily be utilized as an apartment with one bed / one bath, kitchenette, office, game room, or additional entertainment space. Also on the second story, are two sets of French doors leading out to an upper-deck patio area. Some of the best property views come from this vantage point. Here one can look out over the barn, equestrian paddocks and wooded tree-lined pastures. It is the perfect place to watch the sunset over the property.
The 5-stall barn is just a stone's throw away from the house, and can be seen from the kitchen window, as the horses poke out their heads from their stalls. Each stall opens to a private run. The barn is equipped with a wash-rack, tack-room, and hay-room. In addition to the barn, there is a round-pin with an electric amp (330 volts) and turnout pins.
The Painted Prairie Ranch has approximately 30+/- feet of topography roll and change throughout the property. It is majority comprised of Ferris-Heiden complex, Heiden clay, Houston Black clay, and Tiny clay. The property has a heavily wooded tree-line that is predominantly filled with Elm and Cedar. Near the living residence, you can find two Red Oaks, two Red Maples, one Live Oak, and two Vitex trees. Near two of the pastures, there are two Burr Oaks.
Upon the entrance of the ranch there is a nice sized pond. There are currently perch, bream, catfish, and it was once stocked with bass. The property's water supply comes from Hickory Creek.
