During his time at Texas Tech, he immersed himself in the rich outdoor traditions of Lubbock, Texas by guiding waterfowl hunts, where he honed his skills in leadership, customer service, and wildlife conservation. Pete grew up managing the family ranch in Kent County Texas, where he gained firsthand experience in land stewardship, livestock management, and agricultural practices.
